Arrival

• Cabin check-in from 15:00.
• Upon arrival, please come to the kiosk for registration, payment, and the key.
• Kiosk/Reception Opening Hours: During peak season, the kiosk/reception is open between 9:00-13:00 and 14:00-19:00. The current opening hours are indicated on the kiosk door.
• Arrival outside opening hours: If the kiosk is closed upon arrival,
  • the key will be waiting for you outside by the kiosk door.
  • then please come to the kiosk during the next opening time for payment.
• Payment options: Cash (NOK), debit card, VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, and VIPPS (for Norwegians only).
• Bedding:
  • Pillows and blankets are provided in the cabin
  • All beds are fitted with clean sheets
  • Bed linen (duvet cover)/towels are not included but can be rented for NOK 150/person.
• Smoking is not permitted in the cabins. Do not put cigarette butts in the trash can either.
• Dogs are welcome in the cabin (max 2 dogs per cabin), but are not allowed on the bed or the sofa. Final cleaning costs are mandatory if you bring your dog.
• Shower tokens are available at the kiosk (for cabins without a private shower).
• Peace and Quiet: Kilefjorden Camping is a quiet campsite; please keep noise levels low at all times. This means that your neighbors should not be disturbed by, for example, the sound of your voice or radio. Absolute quiet (silence) applies from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Disrespectful behavior regarding this silence rule will result in removal from the campsite without refund of payment.
• Late arrival and early departure (including at night) due to the ferry in Kristiansand is permitted, but please be as quiet as possible to minimize disturbance to other guests.

During your stay

• Fresh Bread Rolls: In the high season, we bake fresh bread rolls (on order) which you can pick up at the kiosk in the morning. We would appreciate receiving your order for this the day/evening in advance.
• Info/activities: At the kiosk, we are happy to help you with what you can do with us and in the surrounding area. For example, we offer walking/cycling routes, canoe/boat rental, sauna/hot tub, and RIB/RAFT boat trips. Information folders can also be found in the common areas and cabins. Laminated walking and cycling routes from the campsite are available for you to borrow at all times on the outside wall of the kiosk.
• Making a fire is permitted in the designated areas in the grill hut, in the ball pit near the grill hut, in the ball pit near the gapahuk, and at the campfire site on the beach. Open fires near your camping vehicle or cabin are not permitted between April 15 and September 15 due to fire hazard. Sometimes, during extremely dry periods, a complete fire ban is imposed by order of the fire department, and then even charcoal barbecues are prohibited at Kilefjorden Camping (this will be indicated on the campsite).
• Waste separation: As a nature lover at our nature campsite, you have a warm heart for nature and separate your waste, just like at home. Right? We have 5 different containers for this: glass/cans/metal, paper, pots (= deposit), plastic, and residual waste. We do not accept bulky waste. Will you help us keep the campsite neat and clean?

Departure

• Check out cabins before 11:00 AM.
• Final cleaning: Upon departure, you can choose whether to clean the cabin yourself; in that case, we expect you to leave the cabin as you found it. You can also choose to pay a cleaning fee. The cost of this is listed per cabin.
• Returning the key: Upon departure, you can return the key at the kiosk, or if the kiosk is closed, on the hook labeled ‘check-out cabins’ next to the kiosk door.
• Extending your stay: If you wish to extend your stay, please inquire at the kiosk before 11:00 (check-out time) whether this is possible.

Cancellation policy

• If we confirm your reservation, we expect you to actually show up. You do not need to pay at the time of booking. If there is a valid reason to cancel, we kindly ask you to inform us as soon as possible, but no later than 2 weeks in advance. In the event of cancellation in the last 2 weeks before arrival or if you do not show up, we will charge 50% cancellation fees.
