Your stay in the hut

• Check-in huts from 3:00 PM, check-out before 11:00 AM
• Registration and payment upon arrival
• In high season, the kiosk/reception is open between 8:30 AM-12:00 PM and 3:00 PM-7:00 PM. The current opening hours are indicated on the door of the kiosk.
• If you arrive outside opening hours, the key will be waiting for you outside the door of the kiosk.
• Pillows and blankets are provided in the cabin
• All beds have clean mattress sheets
• Bed linen (duvet cover) and towels are not included, but can be rented for NOK 150/person.
• Smoking is not allowed in the cabins. Also no cigarette butts in the trash can.
• Dogs are welcome in the cabin (max 2 dogs per cabin), but are not allowed on the bed or couch. Final cleaning costs are mandatory if you come with your dog.
• Shower tokens are available in the kiosk (for the cabins without private shower).
• Kilefjorden Camping is a quiet campsite, keep the noise level low at all times. Evening rest applies after 22:00. Late arrival and early departure (also at night) due to the ferry in Kristiansand is allowed, but do so as quietly as possible to limit disturbance to other guests.
• You can choose to clean the cabin yourself upon departure, in which case we expect you to leave the cabin as you found it. You can also choose to pay cleaning costs. The costs for this are stated per cabin.
• Upon departure, you can hand in the key at the kiosk, or if the kiosk is closed, then on the hook 'check-out cabins' next to the door of the kiosk.

During your stay

• In high season we bake (to order) fresh rolls that you can pick up in the kiosk in the morning. We would like to receive your order for this the day/evening before.
• At the kiosk we are happy to help you with what you can do with us and in the area. For example, we have walking/cycling routes, canoe/boat rental, sauna/hot tub, RIB/RAFT boat trips, children's craft mornings. Information folders can also be found in the common areas and cabins.
• You may make a fire in the designated places: in the grill hut, in the balpanne at the grill hut, in the balpanne at the gapahuk and at the campfire site on the beach. Open fires at your camping equipment or cabin are not permitted between 15 April and 15 September due to the risk of fire. Sometimes, during extremely dry periods, a general fire ban is imposed by order of the fire brigade and then even a charcoal barbecue is prohibited at Kilefjorden Camping (this is indicated on the campsite).
• As a nature lover at our nature campsite, you care about nature and, just like at home, you separate your waste. Right? We have 5 different containers for this: glass/tin/metal, paper, pant (= deposit), plastic, residual waste. You cannot dispose of bulky waste with us. Will you help us keep the campsite neat and clean?

Cancellation policy

• If we confirm your reservation, we expect you to actually come. You do not have to pay when you make the reservation. We keep the cabin available for you and have to say no to other guests who want to make a reservation. If there is a valid reason to cancel, we kindly ask you to inform us as soon as possible, but no later than 2 weeks in advance. This way we can make the cabin available for other guests. If you cancel in the last 2 weeks before arrival, we charge 50% cancellation fee.
